A high-tech mill
 
ALPINA Savoie has a state-of-the-art mill using the latest milling technology. Fully automated, this 6-storey building is capable of converting 230 tonnes of durum wheat into semolina per day.
The grain is cleaned, sorted and hulled, so that only the best quality kernels go into the production of a range of pasta shapes.
 
R&D laboratory and pilot plant
 

To meet the demand of the public and the food industry for new products, ALPINA Savoie has set up a research and development laboratory dedicated to creating innovative products and processes.

High-performance production lines
 

MoulesThrough a sustained policy of investment, ALPINA Savoie has ensured that its production equipment is compatible with the company’s ethics and its ambition to grow the business with cutting-edge technical and technological developments:

- a new production line of 4 tons per hour capacity and high-performance in terms of productivity and process optimization
- 2 new film bags packing machine: 80 bags per minute
- a new and fully automatic packing machine for « Shelf ready packaging »
- a multilevel and flexible production unit to suit with:
      - volume market
      - value added market

To this end, regular improvements are made to facilities and equipment, with two main objectives:
- to optimize current and future activity, through modern, authentic products, available to the largest possible market
- to encourage career development of pasta-makers within the business by giving them greater responsibility.

 
Efficient computer system
 

ALPINA Savoie uses the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, in conjunction with:
- MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and
- CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to control the production line (in line with the specification) or to establish, via an internet portal, direct relationships with customers (Electronic Data Exchange, EDE).

This system ensures that the business is truly responsive, vital for its smooth operation and future development.

All the data can be processed in real time, which gives excellent analytical capability, in terms of statistics, management and product traceability, throughout the production process.
